With sincerest condolences. Chris, or 'Mr Kilkenny' or 'Sir' as I called him, my history teacher, was one of my most formative educational influences. For me he taught curiosity, to question, to look for patterns in the past that can be lessons for the future...add in his sharp wit and dry humour I always felt spurred on to do better in his lessons. As an adult, reflecting on the path that took me from a goth kid in 'the toon' to working internationally in disaster management, I later reached out to let him know the impact that his teaching had on me and how much I had appreciated him . I was amazed that he remembered me too (I mean out of all of the students he must have had over all of the years). Thankyou Chris! My heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones for your loss.
